I hate my wife, she keeps me from my mates, hates my family and generally tells me every day what an awful person I am.

We have only been married two years, and it has been the worst two years of my life.
Before we were married butter wouldn't melt in her mouth - now, well, totally different story.
In case you want to know, I haven't done anything to warrant this.
I think I was blind and married without thinking ahead.
I met her and married her all within a year.
We had never lived together, either. Some of her friends have come forward lately and apologised for not letting me know what I was getting into before we married.
I'm at the end of my rope. Suggestions please.
I guess that is where the catch is - you can only change or rectify what is within your power. The behaviour of your wife may well not be yours to change. It's clearly time for a down to earth, "this is the way I feel" discussion.
AGONY AUNT
The old "marry in haste, repent at leisure" story!
I'm not making light of your situation, as I can see from your letter that life is pretty damn awful at the moment.
I am never one to suggest people just walk away without doing everything within their power to change or rectify the issues.

No holds barred! Get it all out and on the table. Perhaps something will be unearthed that you can both work on. Perhaps not.
If both of you can see a pathway forward I would suggest some couples counselling. If you are met with a brick wall then you may be better taking stage left.
One would hope that the marriage is worth more to your wife than to not make any effort to salvage it, but sometimes you just get a dud! Good luck and stay strong.
BOYS CLUB
Well mate, we reckon you run for the hills!
