In Thursday's event, Danny McIntyre ran hot for the second week in a row with a great score of 28 nett, one clear of Keith Withers, then Bob Alexander 30, and Barry Longmore, 31 nett on a c/b.
In ladies' news, last Tuesday's 4BBB went to the team of Kim Gilmore and Trish Gray with 56 stableford points, from Pam Kellam and Jenny Myers, 55 on a c/b from Lorrain McGowan and Marg Bradley, also on a c/b. NTPs to Kitty Howe (Div 1), Fay Baker (Div 2) and Vi Gardner (Div 3). Ball comp to 40 points.
On Friday, the girls who play midweek combined with the Saturday business girls to compete for the Doug Sutherland Memorial Trophy. Last week's hole-in-one star, Marg Gregurke, took the honours, compiling a whopping 50 points for a win from Fay Baker 47, Trish Gray, Kylie Baker and Marg Hogan 45 points, Anne Leonard 46, Pam Kellam 43, and Lorraine Hickey 40 points.
Trevor Garside took care of the A Grade voucher in last Wednesday's members' stableford comp, scoring 45 points on the shortened course to get the better of our in-form (but out-of-luck) pro, Tim Barlow, whose 5-under off the stick for 44 points would have cleaned up on any other day of the week. Roger Taylor took third spot with 42 points. In B Grade, Ray Gladman ran hot for 46 points, one better than another in-form player, Eddie Wall, and two better than sand green specialist, Rex Kember. NTPs to Trevor Garside, Mick Laurent and John Parker.
Mick Laurent got back to form with a solid 43 points and a win in A Grade in Saturday's members stableford comp, with John Dare runner-up with 41 points. In B Grade, John Parker scored 45 points for a c/b win from John McLeod, while in C Grade, stewards decided to take post-race samples from Mick Landrigan and Eddie Wall, after they accumulated 51 and 50 points respectively. Shot of the day, went to Peter 'Tiny' Fulmer, who cracked his drive onto the green of the shortened par five 12th hole, then had the temerity to sink the five metre putt for an albatross 2, and six stableford points.
NTPs to Frank Veliscek, Bob Alexander and Mick Landrigan.
The business girls played a stroke event on Saturday, and it was well done to Pam Kellam, who had a great score of 61 nett for a two-shot win from another in-form player, Maureen Foley, 63 nett. NTP to Janelle Doust.
Tim's nine-hole Sunday stableford completed the week, with the win going to Frank Veliscek with 26 points, from Kylie Baker and Jim Neiberding, both with 25 points. Ball comp went to 23 points.

With a week of good weather, a large contingent of bowlers hit the greens at Wagga RSL.
Wednesday AM Blind Draw
Coming in as winners with a score of 14 was Marcus Pim,Wally Paton and Allen Mulholland, followed by Arthur Doswell,Trevor Urquhart and Frank Boyd on 12.
Wednesday PM Nominated Pairs
It was a win for Ron Campbell and Mark Pearse with 2+19, closely followed by Darren Walker and Ron Cameron with 2+16. The jackpot was won by Robert Rosewall and Max Sanbrook.
Friday AM Blind Draw
Max Sanbrook and Ian Hilton grab the cash with a score of 11+12 from Allen Mulholland and Don McCrum with 11+4.
Sunday AM Mixed Blind Draw
A win to Ray Hazell and Judy Hilton with 14.25 points runner up on 14 was the paring of Bill Graham and John Waring, with third place being claimed by Wally Paton, Trish Whyte and Jenny Hazell also on 14.

The final proved to be a great game of bowls, as promised. The match went shot for shot for 15 ends, with the score at 12-all. The Inglis team, with two shots on each of the ends 16 &17 then picked up a four on end 18 to scoot away to lead 20/12.
Not to be outdone, the Jackson team picked up ends 19, 20 and 21 but could not bridge the gap, going down 16 to 20.
Overall ends were 12 to Jackson's team and nine to Inglis. A great game with some superb shots was witnessed by all present. Congratulations to David Inglis and Trent Lord, our Major/Minor Champions for 2019, and to George Jackson and Lionel Sands for putting up such a gallant effort.
RULES CLUB MEN'S BOWLS

Nomination sheet is on the board for the Monthly Settlers Group Blind Draw Triples Tournament on September 9, with $600 prizemoney. Three games, 14 ends with 9.15am start.
Nominations for the Club Triples Championship close September 30, with the first round to be played Thursday, October 10 at 6.30pm.
Members are reminded that the bowling club's AGM will be held in the bowlers lounge on Sunday, September 15 at 10.15am sharp.
Several positions are still required to be filled and nomination forms are available at the bowls office. Nominations close at 5pm on September 8.
There will be no social bowls this weekend due to the Classic Pairs Tournament.

ULYSSES CLUB
From now until the end of May next year, all rides will start at 9am in tune with the summer-type weather.
Last week's Wednesday ride was a debacle. We will solve the mystery this week.
Saturday's Meet and Greet was well attended, but someone decided we should sit outside in the sun which was not a brilliant idea with the temperature only managing to crack about 9 degrees. A good excuse to go home early.
This weekend is the Tri Branch Weekend at Narrandera, which you should have sorted out by now. Runs from Friday until Monday morning and the nucleus will be the Lake Talbot Caravan Park with lots of activities on offer to keep the participants amused.
Something of interest, bikes of all ages are welcome to enter and you don't need to be a member. The Wagga Classic Motorcycle Club is conducting its 2019 rally on Saturday, October 12 and Sunday, October 13. Owners of veteran, vintage, classic and modern motorcycles are invited to enter.
