Pam Seymour claimed Div 2 honours with 73 nett, from Sally Davidson 75 nett, while in Div 3, the in-form Trish Gray fired up with a score of 68 nett for a good win from Pat Grieve, 72 nett.

Carmel Pearce played well under her handicap for a plus 4 score to win Div 1, from Dee Harley, plus 1, while in Div 2, it was Fay Baker's turn when she scored plus 3, to get the better of Jan Leonard, plus 1.

Friday also saw the final of the Ladies' 4BBB Knockout, and in what was a terrific match, the formidable team of Monica Kember and Trish Gray just got home from Marg Hogan and Therese Quinn, 1 up.

In Vets news, last Monday's nine-hole stroke event went to Max Robinson with 32 nett, from Alan French, Bob Martin, Tony Pollard and Ken Batt, 35, and Clarrie Ridley, Bernie Mogford and Roy Sanders, 36 nett.

Thursday's comp went to Bill O'Rourke, also with a score of 32 nett, from Lex Boardman 33, Eddie Wall and Peter McDonald 34, Dave Sutton 35, and Bernie Mogford and Grahame Winson, 36 nett on a c/b.

Last Wednesday's Members' Stableford comp, and in A Grade, Matt McMullen scored 37 pts for a c/b win from Tim Barlow, with Steve Rodham taking third spot with 36 pts.

In B Grade, John Tritton put together two solid nines of 19 pts for 38 pts, and a good win from Neil Trezona, 35 pts on a c/b from Denis McGrath.

The course was a lot easier for the field when the white tees were introduced for Saturday's Stableford event.

In A Grade, Steve Wetton scored 41 pts for a c/b win from Dave McManus, while Kyle Harrison once again shot under par off the stick for his 40 pts and third place.

In B Grade, Ken McPherson reckoned it was his best ever round of golf, when he broke 80 for the first time for his 40 pts and a c/b win from Todd Ramsey, while Ray Harrison picked up third spot with 38 pts.

In C Grade, Peter Austin carded 38 pts for a win from Gary Chamberlain, 37, and Graeme Loes, 36 pts.

Saturday's Business Girls, and Lyn McMullen kept her recent good form on track with a solid score of 71 nett, for a win from the popular Lazetta Gaffney, 74 nett, while Kylie Baker claimed the NTP on the 18th hole.

Tim Barlow's Sunday Stableford comp saw Maureen Martin make a triumphant return after a serious injury, scoring an incredible 43 pts for a win, from Roy Sanders 42, and Gary Rake 40 pts.

Congratulations to Pedro Rudd, John Hetherington, Rod Cramp on winning the Zone 8 Senior Triples Final 34 shots 14 to against Graeme Edgerton, Peter Watts and Geoff Holt at Narrandera on the weekend.

Last Wednesday was a good day for a ride and seven took advantage of the conditions.

So Mark and his mate Brett on another Harley, Oscar on his Spyder, Fred and Gino riding their BMWs our mate from the Hospital on his Yama Harley and I am missing someone but we will find him later.

They took off through Junee, over to Cootamundra, up to Harden, across to Jugiong and then down the Hume to Gundagai where they propped for lunch.

Just gotta fit a feed in somewhere.

After lunch, it was back to Wagga down the Hume to the Sturt and then home.

It was a great day out in great weather and enjoyed by all with no one getting lost!

Saturday Meet and Greet saw a small gathering sampling the coffee and snacks with the usual discussions on saving the world and everyone else's problems but their own.

This Sunday's ride will be off to Tallangatta, down Victoria way.

Be ready to leave McDonalds' Edward Street Car Park at 9.30am.

I suggest that if you get there at about 8.45am to 9am you could slip a McCoffee and a McBurger in for McBreakfast before you go.

On Sunday, August 18, the annual pilgrimage to Morundah will take place, once again leaving Maccas at 9.30am.

At the Morundah pilgrimage, we meet up with Albury-Wodonga and Griffith members for a smashing lunch.

This year we have new owners but I am sure the quality will be just the same so make sure you get there at about 12 noon.

The big one to look forward to will be the Tri-Branch weekend at The Lake Talbot Caravan Park in Narrandera on the 6th, 7th and 8th of September.

Here we meet up with Griffith and Albury-Wodonga for a fun -filled weekend.

I will put more details in this column in a couple of weeks time.

The Wagga Branch meeting for August will be on the 20th at the Radio Club Rooms in Small Street starting at 7.30pm.

Get there a bit earlier for some pre-meeting fellowship.

We Have been fairly fortunate with the weather of late so get those machines out of the shed and enjoy the ride and company of fellow riders.

The new Wednesday Junior Doubles Tennis Competition commences today, July 31, at the Bolton Park Tennis Complex.

The competition is open to all players that are able to serve.

To enter turn up at the courts before the start time of 4pm.

Finish is at 6pm sharp.

Intersport Australia (formally Sportsman's Warehouse) Gift Cards awarded at the end of the competition for those players playing five matches, as well as a Best and Fairest award.

The winner of the last competition was Alastair Wright on 961/2 points in second place is Robert Grantham on 90 points, with Michael Paolucci-Ellis on 85 points, then Victoria Grantham and Isaac Schiller tied on 74 1/2 points making up the top five placings.

Tied winners of the Best and Fairest Award for this competition were Makenna Irlam and Isaac Schiller.

Good fields in all events this week saw the following results: Wednesday am Blind Draw Marcus Pim and David Ashford, with a score of 13.25 took out the event from Ken Morden and Ian Hilton finishing on 10.50.

Wednesday pm Nominated Pairs proved a big win to Doug Kinder and Bill Manning with 2+34 from Peter Haby and Terry Sellars on 2+5.

Friday am Blind Draw the money was claimed by Maxwell Sanbrook, Bob Young and David Ashford with a score of 10 with the runner up prize going to Wal Paton, Brian Shepperd and Viv Harris finishing on 9.25.

Sunday am Mixed Blind Draw was a win to Ian Williams and Joel Jensen with 21 points. This win was the first win in competition to our vision-impaired bowler Joel Jensen and was a just reward for the hard work put in by Joel to establish himself in the game.

Bowlers playing on other rinks were amazed at the bowls being put down by Joel as he was right on target and not far off the kitty with most of his bowls.

Proudly watching proceedings was Joel's Guide Dog Nicci and his hardworking coach Kevin Smith who has done wonders in bringing this young bowler along. Runner-up prize was claimed by Ken Morden and Frank Boyd with a total of 18 points.
