The ladies competed for their July Monthly Medal last Tuesday, with congratulations going to Jenny Hazell, who picked up the Division 1 Medal with a solid score of 72 nett, and Therese Quinn, for pocketing her first-ever medal with a score of 76 nett in Division 2.

107 (Div 3). H/Cap winners :- Monica Kember, 75 (1); Pam Seymour, 73 (2) and Lorraine McGowan, 78 (3). Drive and Chip winners on the par three 2nd hole :- Maria McManus, birdie (1); Carol Martin (2) and Marg Bradley (3). Putting Comp :- Jenny Hazell, 29 (1); Pam Seymour, 29 (2) and Sandra Mellen 34 on a c/b (3). Ball comp to 80 nett on a c/b.
The girls returned on Friday for a Stableford comp, together with their 4BBB knockout event. Jan Leonard scored 35 points to take care of the stableford comp, followed by Pat Grieve with 34 pts on a countback.
In the knockout event, Monica Kember and Trish Gray really put it all together for an emphatic 8/6 victory over Lyn Donohoe and Carol Martin, while it was a much closer affair for Marg Hogan and Therese Quinn, who ground it out for a 2/1 win over Janene Fitzgerald and Sandra Donohue.
Warren Lynch took things to another level in last Monday's nine-hole vets comp, shooting four-under off the stick in the cold and wet conditions for a nett score of 31 and an easy win from Grahame Winson 34, Eddie Wall 37, and Peter Kirkman 38.
In Thursday's event, Max Robinson recorded nett 34 for a win, from John Brown 35, and Dave Sutton, Tony Thompson and Clarrie Ridley 36. Vouchers: 38 c/b.
Another in-form low-marker, Kyle Harrison worked hard for his 36 points in last Wednesday's members' stableford comp, collecting the A Grade voucher along with a cool $50 in side bets.
Kyle was followed by Bob McKenzie, 35 points on a c/b from Roman Adamcewicz.
In B Grade, Zac Nimmo fired up for 42 points and a good win, from Bruce Yeatman 40, and Graeme Coulton 39 points. NTPs to Ben Wood, Roman Adamcewicz and John Dare. Ball comp to 33 points on a c/b.
Cold and windy conditions welcomed golfers to Saturday's members' stableford event. Once again, it was Warren Lynch who prevailed in A Grade, scoring 37 pts for a good win from Steve Wetton, 34 points.
In B Grade, Mick Thorne scored 36 points, one more than Jim Neiberding, while Peter Fulmer played well for 37 points to collect the C Grade voucher, from Eddie Wall, 35. NTPs to Jim Neiberding, Keith Bevan and Peter Fulmer. Ball Comp to 30 points on a c/b.
A cold, wet week wound up with Tim's Sunday nine-hole stableford comp, which went to Tony Martin with 21 points from Phil Harrison and Warren Lynch, 19 points, and Barry Miller, 18 points. Ball comp to 17 points c/b.
TENNIS

There will be no tennis today in the Wednesday Junior Doubles Tennis Competition at the Bolton Park Tennis Complex.
The next competition will start after the school holidays, beginning July 31.
The competition is open to all players that are able to serve. To enter, turn up at the courts before the start time of 4pm. Play finishes at 6pm sharp. Intersport Australia (formerly Sportsman's Warehouse) gift cards are awarded at the end of the competition for those players playing five matches as well as a best and fairest award.
The winner of the last competition was Alastair Wright on 961/2 points. In second place was Robert Grantham on 90 points, with Michael Paolucci-Ellis on 85 points. Victoria Grantham and Isaac Schiller tied on 74 1/2 points, making up the top five placings.

THE RULES MEN'S BOWLS
In the Settlers Group Monthly 2 bowl blind draw, Triples Tournament, Geoff Rainbird, Alan Jacobson, Terry Hilton took the winner's prizemoney of $210 with 3 wins plus 22 shots. Second place prizemoney of $120 was won by Chris Leonard, Ron Myers, Keith Gill (3 wins plus 14 shots); 3rd prizemoney ($90) went to Bob Stoll, Paul Fenwick (2 wins and a draw plus 19 shots). Best 1st game $90 prizemoney went to Team Col Platerplus 24 shots; Game 2 team Bob Wright plus 16 shots; Game 3 Team Ron Campbell plus 10 shots.
Wednesday Blind draw Triples was sponsored by Riverina Cranes & Towing and Scooters Mobility. Winners with 24 points were Geoff Rainbird and Jack Cousley, runners-up Keith Wellham, Doug Murray, Pat Sullivan 22 points; 3rd place Ross Maguire, Eddie Forbes, "Tiny" Bower 21 points.
Friday Blind draw Pairs sponsored by Wagga Caravans and The Rules Club saw Chris Leonard and Brian Carroll take out the winner's prize with 22 points; runners-up Col Plater, Ron Myers, Dave Bryant 19 points; 3rd place Paul Fenwick, Doug Murray 18 points.
Nomination sheet is on the board for the annual Commonwealth Bank sponsored Challenge Pairs Tournament on Saturday and Sunday, September 7 and 8 with $4230 prizemoney.

AGM
The club held its AGM with a good rollup on Sunday, July 14 followed by a game of knockout pairs and a barbecue lunch.
The committee elected for the coming year were:
