TENNIS continues today in the Wednesday Junior Doubles Tennis Competition at the Bolton Park Tennis Complex.

The competition is open to all players that are able to serve.
To enter turn up at the courts before the start time of 4pm finish at 6pm sharp.
Sportsmans Warehouse giftcards awarded at the end of the competition for those players playing five matches as well as a Best and Fairest award.
New leader of the competition is Alastair Wright on 66 points followed by Isaac Schiller on 64.5 points then Robert Grantham on 61.5 points with Michael Paolucci-Ellis on 59.5 points and Victoria Grantham on 48 points making up the top five placings.
Winners of the McDonalds Sports Awards this week were Michael Paolucci-Ellis and Max Laurent.

WEDNESDAY blind draw Triples sponsored by Knights Meats and Wagga Nursery saw Rod Cramp, Wayne Broad, Bernie Leitch take out the winners prize with a mammoth 34 points; runners up Max Simmons, John Stout 23 points; third place Chris Leonard, Ron Meyers, Robbie Nolan 22 points; fourth place Col Plater, Trevor Taylor, Sel Ormes 21 points.
Friday Nominated Pairs was sponsored by Settlers Group and Rules Club Bistro.
Winners : Rod McCabe, John Cowper 23 points; runners up Terry Rosewall, Doug Kinder 21 points; third place Gary Clarke, Peter Roberts, John Ashcroft 20 points.
Saturday Blind draw saw sets play over five ends with winners playing winners and losers going into a reper charge.
Winners over the three sets were Keith Wellham, Alan jacobson, Peter Wild two wins plus 10 shots; runners - up Darren Conroy,Max Simmons, Harry Conroy one win plus 10 shots; third place Chris Leonard, Rod Cramp, Bill Wilson one win plus five shots.

WAGGA CITY GOLF CLUB
LAST Tuesday saw the ladies compete in their stroke singles knockout qualifiers, and in division one, Doreen Hazell took the honours with 73 nett, on a countback from Jenny Myers, also on a countback.
Di Jenkins had an easy win in division 2, scoring 72 nett, from Linda Coombes, 79 nett, and in division 3, Colleen Mavroudis played well for 74 nett, and a one-shot win from Marg Bradley.
NTPs to Monica Kember (Div 1), Sue Matthews (Div 2) and Barb O'Donnell (Div 3).
Ball comp to 81 nett.
As a number of the girls were following up with their matchplay rounds last Friday, a reduced field was left to compete in the regular stableford comp.
Coming out on top of the stableford event was Gloria Vonarx with a score of 39 points, from June Byrnes 37 points.
Ball comp to 32 points.
In the matchplay knockout event, Jenny Hazell def Una Pocock 4/1; Maria McManus def Glad Leitch on the 19th; Carmel Pearce def Linda Coombes 3/2; Monica Kember def Sue Matthews 5/3, and Janelle Doust def Trish Gray 5/4.
In Vets news, Clarry Ridley won last Monday's nine-hole stroke comp with a countback win from John Hazell, both on 34 nett.
John Burkinshaw, Peter McDonald and Danny McIntyre followed with 35 nett, while vouchers went to 37 nett.
It was close again on Thursday, when Grahame Winson scored 31 nett to get home on a countback from Mick Tilden, followed by Garry Forde 33, and Roy Sanders, 34 nett. Vouchers to 36 nett on a countback.
The scores were just as close in Wednesday's members' stableford comp, when Bill Whalan scored 38 points for a countback win from Peter Barnes, also on a countback from Mick Laurent. Rex Kember ran hot in B Grade, scoring 41 points to claim the win, as well as a fist-full of $5 notes.
Bruce Yeatman scored second spot with 39 points, then Neil Trezona, 37 points.
NTPs to Ray Harrison, who knocked it to within a metre on the long par three 9th; Andy White on the 13th and Kyle Harrison on the 18th. Ball comp to 35 points on a countback.
Members returned for the May Monthly Medal on Saturday, and it turned out to be a battle of the low-markers in A Grade, with Matt Tooze scoring 70 nett to prevail on a countback from Kyle Harrison and Jeremy Whalan.
In B Grade, John Flanagan scored 69 nett for a win, from Col Moore 70, and Richard Flanigan 71 nett, while Peter Fulmer claimed the C Grade medal with 69 nett, from Mick Landrigan 70, and Greg Hanigan 72 nett. NTP's to Kyle Harrison, Steve Whetton and Peter Taylor. Ball comp to 75 nett on a countback.
The Business Girls also played on Saturday, competing in their postponed March Monthly Medal. Well done to medal winner, Jenny Myers, who scored 73 nett for a strong win, from Cheryl McKee, 76 nett. Well done also to Carmel Pearce who played a great shot to claim the NTP on the 18th.
The week wound up with Tim Barlow's nine-hole Sunday Stableford comp, which went to Frank Veliscek with 22 points, from Rick Leonard 20 points, and Mick Sullivan and Kylie Baker, 19 points. Ball comp to 17 points on a countback.
