Queensland police will seek to extradite a man from NSW to face a murder charge over the disappearance of Jay Brogden more than a decade ago.

The 32-year-old Coffs Harbour man was charged by NSW Police on Tuesday in relation to other matters, but he is expected to be charged with Mr Brogden's murder when he arrives in Queensland later this week.
He is the second man to be arrested in two weeks in relation to the cold case.
The two men were arrested following a decision earlier this month by homicide detectives to erect a billboard on the highway at Cannonvale, where 21-year-old Mr Brogden was last seen in 2007, to encourage anyone with information to come forward.
The first man, 33, was extradited to Brisbane from Sydney on March 19 for an unrelated stabbing incident in Airlie Beach in 2009.
He was not charged over the murder of Mr Brogden but has been assisting police with their investigation.
Detective Inspector Damien Hansen told media there are a number of other suspects in the ongoing murder investigation.
He said he expects there will be further arrests in relation to the murder.
Det Inspector Hansen said a $250,000 reward for information about the cold case included an offer of indemnity from prosecution for anyone with information who is not a principal offender.
He said he could not disclose the allegations because the matters were now before the courts.
