Respect is not a new concept – “treat other people as you wanted to be treated”.
Respect Week is from November 17 to 24 and it was felt by the board that a Respect Day was another way of encouraging the community to be conscious of Respect and what it means, it costs nothing but could make a huge difference to our city if people would show Respect to one another.
Lack of respect to property is a huge expense for council and private citizens but it is not only property, it is also people. Be proactive and recognise Respect Day and what it stands for.
