THE Corowa Distilling Co is celebrating the first release of its double distilled single malt whisky with a cocktail party at the Whisky & Chocolate Factory on Friday, August 31.
This is your chance to get one of the first bottles of this unique whisky made from locally sourced barley in copper stills.
With a 1920s theme, canapes and a cocktail menu, this is sure to be a night to remember.
But if you can’t make it to the party, the Corowa Whisky & Chocolate Factory is always open for breakfast and lunch plus you can sample the great range of chocolates and goodies from its sister factory, Junee Licorice & Chocolate.
There’s also Markets at the Mill happening on Saturday, September 1.

IN TEMORA, the Aviation Museum is hosting its Father’s Day Weekend 2018 Aircraft Showcase event on Saturday and Sunday, September 1 and 2 featuring aircraft from the museum’s collection including Supermarine Spitfires, Tiger Moth, Lockheed Hudson and many more.
From 10am both days, you can get close to the action and see some of Australia’s military flying history come to life.
As well as flying demonstrations there will be commentary and music, guided tours, interviews with pilots and veterans, children’s activities and a playground, and a pilot meet and greet.

BACK in Wagga Wagga on Father’s Day, the Willans Hill Miniature Railway will be running and there’s no better place to take little and big kids alike.
Situated in the Botanic Gardens, the train track weaves through gardens, woodlands, a tunnel and over a bridge.
The Miniature Railways runs on the first and third Sunday of every month from 10.30am to 4pm with a lunch break for one hour at 12.30pm.
Walking through the free-flight aviary is a highlight of visiting the zoo. More than 90 species of animals and birds, both native and exotic, live here including the stunning peacocks that roam free.
