First up is the Ganmain Show, a traditional country show with something for everyone and only 40 minutes’ drive from Wagga.
Held on Saturday, August 18, this is a great day out for the whole family featuring wood chopping, chainsaw carving, farm art, horses, an animal farm, a dog show, quick shearing, sideshow alley, and the pavilion full of cooking, produce, flowers and artwork.
The wood chopping demonstration will again be on show, presented by Brent Smith from Albury a third-generation woodchopper.
Brent has previously represented Australia in the under 21 team and is a current NSW team member.
The day will finish with a fireworks display.

THEN from Friday, August to Sunday, August 26, Albury-Wodonga plays host to one of the biggest and best caravan expos in the country.
The Border Caravan & Camping Expo is happening at the Wodonga Racecourse and will feature hundreds of exhibitors displaying the latest models of caravans, pop-tops, tents, camper trailers, motorhomes, campervans, and 4x4 off road and touring accessories.
Whether you’re a seasoned veteran or new to the outdoors lifestyle, there will be a range of products and services at the Expo to help you get the most out of your holidays.
There’s also plenty to keep the kids entertained including colouring in bags, free rides and a demonstration from reptile expert Allan Burnett.
The Expo is open from 9.30am each day and closes at 5pm on Friday and Saturday and at 4pm on Sunday.

YOU can head to Griffith on Saturday, August 25 for the town’s salami extravaganza the Festa Delle Salsicce.
Held at Pioneer Park Museum this event is a celebration of the end of salami making season.
Guests can enjoy traditional homemade Italian cuisine, local wines, entertainment and, of course, lots of salami.

Also in Griffith on the same day, Calabria Family Wines is hosting an Italian Gastronomy event from 10am to 4pm.
Held at the cellar door, you can sit in the garden and enjoy their wine plus live music, traditional cured meats and Italian sausages produced by Ferdinando Foods.
