For 71-years the Miss Wagga Quest has sought to empower the city’s up-and-coming leaders, helping them achieve their dreams and goals.
The year-long challenge has been described as the most demanding and rewarding, according to entrants like Adriana Lions, who became the city’s ambassador for 2015.
The 2015 Miss Wagga said the quest had taken her on “a journey of self discovery, self-empowerment and self-improvement”.
She said it was so much more than a “beauty pageant”.
Ms Lions and participants across a decade reported the various challenges and events had improved their confidence provided them with valuable leadership and life skills.
It is said to be the oldest and longest serving quest of its type in Australia, withstanding the test of time and adapting to ever-changing community expectations.
