Kurrajong Laundry full-time employee Ms Jeanette Miller, who lives in Narrandera, has retired after 16 diligent years, the first three of which were in a voluntary capacity.

Not generally known until she featured in a front page story of the local paper on Tuesday, April 24, is that she commenced her first job at the age of 49. This was at Kurrajong.
Kurrajong staff held a special morning tea on April 20 to mark the beginning of Jeanette’s retirement years.
Needless to say, she finished up with much-deserved accolades ringing in her ears. These referenced her great work ethic, excellent attendance record and all the other things due to a valued team member who will be sorely missed.

The Morundah Team Yarding event on April 14 and 15 at the Morundah Recreation Ground was highly successful with approximately 130 competitors, 100 horse floats and lots of interested spectators.
Winners of the Sunday opens were Bob Boatwright, Tracie Mecuri and Jim Boatwright.
