ULYSSES
IT WAS a good ride in the sunshine last Wednesday where a three regulars, Les, Oscar and Graham headed off to Corowa passing through Henty, Walbundrie, Balldale and Hopefield. A quick reconnoitre at Corowa and then the short the short stretch across to Rutherglen where they had lunch at the refurbished Bakery.
After a very pleasant lunch they all traversed the mighty Murray back to Howlong and from there travelled straight back to Culcairn, Morven, Cookardinia then Mangoplah and Home.
Meet and Greet on Saturday at Billy’s was a low key affair with only about eight sampling the fresh air, gossip and coffee.
On Sunday a small group consisting of Pat, Les, Roger, Crafty and Mick shot over to Narrandera to
Cast an eye over all the Hot Rods and other restored vehicles on display. There was a huge number of vehicles and people from all parts of the country and if we had the time it would have been quite easy to waste away three or four hours taking in the brilliant work of the persons who own the magnificent old bits of history.
Our next Sunday ride will be on the 15th of April and will be taking in Coleambally for lunch. I will be leading and will give you some more details next week, when I have the details sorted.
Out next Branch meeting, which will also be the Branch AGM, is on Tuesday, April 17 starting at 7.30pm, However as is the custom on the day of our AGM we will have a sausage sizzle before the meeting, so turn up at 6.30pm for a feed.
Probably what most are getting organised for is the Ulysses Club Inc AGM to be held in the Riverland district of South Australia which gets under way on May 7. We will keep you posted.

NTP’s went to Peter Conlin on the 9th, Peter Smith on the 13th and Josh Conlan, who knocked it to within 40cm from the flag on the tough 18th hole. Ball Comp to 34 points.
Tim’s Sunday Stableford event went to Peter McDonald with 22 points, from Steve Rodham 21, and Frank Veliscek 20 points on a c/b from Phil Harrison.
Members bade farewell to one of the club’s most popular golfers last Thursday, when football legend and beloved family man, Noel Murray, was laid to rest after losing his long battle with illness.
He’s already been sadly missed, and our thoughts are with Noel’s family at this difficult time.
