Country Hope received a $10,000 cheque from Skyworks on Monday and $2,500 worth of toys donated by Hutcheon & Pearce.
“It’ll go straight to family assistance which means we’ll be helping families with fuel, travel, accommodation, bills, rent and mortgages,” general manager Ellie Webb said.
“It was such a fantastic family event, which goes with what we do, we look after families.”
It a strong case of locals helping locals, with visitor numbers suggesting more than 95 per cent of attendees at APEX park were from the Wagga Local Government Area.
Ronald McDonald House Wagga are also set to pocket a percentage of the proceeds from the night’s soft drink sales.
Ms Webb said Country Hope would jump at the opportunity to be involved again in 2018.
Thomas Bros Group will begin planning as soon as the council grant for 2017 is acquitted.
