It was an easy win, from Dave Sutton and John Hazell, 33 nett, and Alan French, Peter Briggs, Tony Thompson, Dennis Adams and Bob Alexander, each on 34 nett.
Thursday’s comp saw Bob Hodge card 32 nett for a one shot win from Hedley Chapman and Ron Culgan, followed a shot further back by Tony Pollard, Garry Forde, Les Hodges, Tony Thompson and Dennis Adams.
The ladies played a nine hole stableford event last Tuesday, and in Division 1, Jenny Hazell stood out with 20 points, followed by Jan Marks, 17 points on a countback from Pam Kellam.
Jan Leonard got home in Division 2 with 21 points on a countback from Barb McDonnell, with Ann Packer third on a countback with 18 points.
NTP was Sue Oakman. Ball comp to 17 points on a countback.
The ladies returned on Friday for a stroke event and in Division 1, Di Jenkins scored 36 nett for a one-shot win from Cassie Gill, with Pam Kellam another shot back on 38 nett.
In Division 2, Jan Leonard scored 37 to win, also by a shot, from Lilian Sutherland and Janine Fitzgerald.
NTP was Cassie Gill. Ball comp to 38 nett.
Peter Barnes made in three wins on the trot when he claimed the A Grade prize in last Wednesday’s members stroke event with 70 nett, with another consistent golfer, Warren Lynch, runner-up on 71 nett.
In B Grade, Rex Kember fired up with 67 nett for a great win, from John McLeod 69 nett.
NTPs to Andrew White, Bob McKenzie and Brian Smith. Ball comp to 73 nett on a countback.
Saturday’s members stableford event saw another in-form golfer, Kyle Harrison, shoot a one-over round of 73 for 38 points to win A Grade, from Bob Alexander 37 points, on a countback from Peter Treharne.
Josh Conlin played top golf for 42 points to win B Grade, from Tim Morrison 40 points, and Keith Bevan, 38 points.
In C Grade, Ross Hollis also played well for 40 points for success, followed by Bruce Yeatman, 39, on a countback from Peter Fulmer.
NTPs to Zac Billingham, Warren Lynch and Kyle Harrison. Ball comp to 34 points on a countback.
