Two budding amateur cooks will face off for glory.
The Riverina Producers Markets is holding a cook-off between two of its regulars with their pride on the line.
Stall committee member Gordon Shaw said the competition was a bit of fun designed to show off local produce.
“We get a number of keen cooks in that want to know exactly what’s going into their dishes,” Mr Shaw said.
Local chef Soon Lee, who has worked at a number of Michelin-starred restaurants, will be doing cooking demonstrations.
Market producers will be donating some of their produce to food rescue organisation, REAP, which distributes food to charities around Wagga and Junee.
The cook-off will be held On Thursday at 4.30pm at the markets’ Wollundry Lagoon site, off Tarcutta Street.
