Three games in Mathyssen-Whyman made her debut on the starting line up for the Under 19s Young Matildas on Saturday.
A clean sheet in an international game is every goalkeeper’s dream and Mathyssen-Whyman played on a side that dominated possession.
The team had endured two losses in the tournament before she took to the field, defeated by Japan 2-0 and home crowd China 2-1 with Queensland girl Teagan Micah in goals.
The Australian team were hoping to qualify for the FIFA junior tournament held in 2016, however they needed at least two wins.
At just 15, Mathyssen-Whyman has plenty of time to make her mark on the international scene.
