I've been seeing a guy for almost a year now and am head-over-heels in love. In the beginning of our relationship, he made it clear he wasn’t prepared to speak of his life before me. Originally I thought this was just a temporary thing in case we didn’t make it and I was the keeper of his secrets. But it is really getting to be a problem for me. He will not answer any questions about anything. He’s secretive about everything. He has a number of aliases, won't share his email address or phone numbers of which he has a few and has no close friends and/or family.
My friends and family all think I'm going to wind up in a body bag. Should I forget him or give him more time and see if he'll open up?
AGONY AUNT
Wow! Not sure about the body bag bit, but there are so many flashing red lights hovering over this guy’s head. At the end of the day, relationships are founded on trust and sharing. You can’t trust this guy, he obviously doesn’t trust you and any sharing here is very one sided.
I am curious to know how you can ‘be head over heels’ for somebody who you really know nothing about? Seems strange to me. Anyway, tell the guy what a real relationship is based on, tell him that secrets in a relationship only and always eventually cause problems and that you expect and deserve more from him. I have a feeling he will be taking a walk.

JUST forget him.
