Wagga Field and Game
WWF&G held their annual 100 target simulated graded handicap competition on October 14 at our club grounds at Tooyal Reserve just outside of Coolamon. This year we were able to secure the sponsorship from Dale Isaac from Riverina Motor Group, which allowed the club to put on some terrific prizes. To Dale and the Riverina Motor Group, a big thank you, we look forward to continuing this partnership.

Set-up began on Friday afternoon with two ranges, a top and bottom range. Gary Brill and Greg Newton took on the task of setting up the bottom range, and presented some interesting and challenging targets on the day. The top range was given to Milton Jaeger and Darren Inglis to come up with some different targets and not to be out done by the guy’s bottom range layout, they accepted the challenge.
Matt Woolnough, Duncan Jaeger, Steve Tipping, Gary Byron and Garry Fairbank also tagged along to give assistance and finalised the setup on Saturday morning.
With the competition set to start at 10am, numbers were a little slow to appear, but steadily increased as the commencement time got closer, all up 55 shooters participated in the event which was an increase of 23 shooters from last year. Even better was that a squad of shooters from Renmark, South Australia turned up.
Results reflected the layouts the team’s setup with no one able to obtain a perfect score on any round, well done fellas on setting up great range layouts.
Results: O/A High Gun – Jesse Munro 93. A grade 1st Brad Wignall 92. A grade 2nd Max Payton 88. A grade 3rd Matt Woolnough 88. B grade 1st Alex Miklojewski 93. B grade 2nd Steve Tipping 91. C grade 1st Ivan Furner 90. C grade 2nd Tony McMullen 84. Ladies 1st Vicki McDonagh 87. Veterans 1st Vic Bowman 90.
A big thanks to Kate Newton for her work in the kitchen and to all that assisted in packing up at the end of the day. Finally; a big thanks to Lisa Riley and Bruce Irvine for their assistance in the office on the day.
The AGM was held October 17 with board election and all that other stuff. President elect was not changed with Garry Brill taking on the job again, this also true for VP with Steve Tipping and secretary Garry Fairbank. We have a new Treasurer in Lisa Riley.
