Playing alongside his grandmother Gwen last week, Little produced the perfect performance and bowled a 300 game.
The 21-year-old bowled 12 consecutive strikes to achieve the perfect game.
As he drew closer to the mark, the enormity of the occasion hit Little.
“I was really nervous. The second last strike, I was pretty much shaking,” Little said.
“Everyone could see me shaking, it was just one of those things.
“The one before that was just a really lucky strike and the pins just fell. So the last ball that I bowled, I just bowled a really good one. I knew that I had a lucky one before and had to make this count.”
Little comes from a family of ten pin bowlers.
His grandmother Gwen has bowled for years, while his father Glen has been in the sport for 40 years.
William has claimed bragging rights by being the first in his family to hit 300.
“Straight away I called my dad just to give him a call and say I got a 300 before you,” Little said with a laugh.
“He hasn’t got one so he’s pretty cranky about it, but it happens.
“My nan was quite happy.”
Little has been bowling for six years, split between his time in Wagga and Albury.
He plays once a week at Wagga Bowl and averages 188 a game.
“There’s two other bowlers in my league that have an average of 202, and 210, they’re fairly high averages but they’ve never bowled a 300,” Little said.
