OSCAR and Crafty were the only ones to take up the challenge last week and they had a short burst around the district to fill in half the day.
There was a good representation of members at Peter Meiklejohn’s memorial service last Thursday and the turn-out of family, friends and associates was testament to the man himself. The family had had a private burial earlier in the day.
On Sunday Jackie led the Pink Ribbon Ride into the wild blue yonder with 14 bikes, one Tin Top and two pillions. First stop was Narrandera after a tour through Currawarna and Matong and at Narrandera Jackie rolled out the morning tea in the park by the Tourist bureau. Refreshments over they then travelled through Barellan and Ardlethan to end up at Ariah Park where some markets were in progress and some lunch was consumed. The journey home was split into two groups with one lot going through Temora and the others through Coolamon. Some $335 was raised on the day and that money will be donated to breast cancer research. Well done.
The October branch meeting was held and the next one will be on November 21 at the Radio Club Rooms in Small Street starting at 7.30pm. The doors open at 7pm for fellowship, so come along and bring a friend or two and enjoy the company of fellow motorcyclists who’s knowledge of motorcycles borders on legendary.
Saturday Meet and Greet was well attended with the usual banter and a special thank you to those who helped out with Toy Run fundraiser at South City on Saturday morning.
Remember that Wednesday rides leave Billy’s Café each week at 9am.
Saturday’s Meet and Greet gathers at Billy’s from 10am and all Sunday rides depart from McDonalds Edward Street car park at 9am unless advised otherwise.
