The decorated lass out inked 13 others in Canberra last weekend, to take out the coveted national title.
Crowned Miss Ink Canberra the past two years running, she’s no stranger to the contest, which involves four different fashion rounds and interviews.
“They judge you on how articulate your answers are on stage, stage presence, quality of costumes and quality of tattoos,” Ms Duck said.
Hayden Ramsey of Wagga Body Art is Leanne’s artist of choice, with all of her eight pieces his handiwork.
“I grew up watching anime and reading comic books, so a lot of colour and cartoons are up my alley,” he said.
Leanne said she’s “desensitised” to her skin now, a far cry from when she promised to only get one.
“I have a lot of appreciation for art, so the fact I can use my epidermis as a canvas, I feel privileged,” she said.
