Students are pitching in to help St Vincent de Paul by organising a school-wide clothing drive.
Lisa Simpson from Mater Dei said the school had been running a ‘MiniVinnies’ group for five years.
“In that time students volunteer their lunchtime to learn about social justice matters and to create activities to address them, Ms Simpson said.
“When we heard that Vinnies were in desperate need of good quality items to support their retail outlets and their clients it was an easy decision to be involved. We encourage all our students to think of others and live the MiniVinnies philosophy of “see, think, do”.
