“Police attached to Wagga Local Area Command are saturating the area of Tolland today looking for a person that appears to be evading us,” Inspector Rob Vergano said.
The 16-year-old Indigenous male has been evading police for months, but his time has run out.
“We do believe this person knows we’re looking for him, so as a result we’re going to be in the Tolland and Ashmont area looking for this person, speaking to anybody we can and pulling over as many cars just to see if the community can assist in pointing out where we can locate this person,” Inspector Vergano said.
Police say they will continue the hunt until they find him.
“The more numbers we can get the better chance we’re going to have of capturing this person today, and look it won’t be just today, this will be happening… until we find him,” Inspector Vergano said.
