Wagga drivers have been stung in a 24-hour blitz which has netted more than 80 offences covering mobile phone use, seat-belt offences and standard vehicle compliance.

Inspector Rob Vergano from Wagga police said mobile phones, poor vehicle compliance and fatigue were major causes of accidents.
“People need to take care and take responsibility for their on-road behaviour,” Inspector Vergano said.
A total of 26 mobile phone, 12 seat-belt and 46 standard vehicle infringements were issued.
