Representatives for Anthony Charles Debnam argued he could not get a fair trial and an application to discharge the jury was upheld, without objection, by the Crown.
Debnam was also granted a Suitor’s Fund certificate, a payment of up to $10,000 to cover costs incurred in the aborted trial.
The matter was listed for mention in Wagga District Court on August 11.
