FAMILY HISTORY: The Wagga Wagga and District Family History Society will be open every Saturday in August at 24 Tarakan Avenue, Ashmont, for family history month from 10am to 1pm. Visitors welcome. COMMUNITY VISITORS SCHEME (CVS): Do you have some spare time? One hour a fortnight? If you do we would love to hear from you ! We are currently in need of new volunteers to visit with aging residents that reside in Nursing Homes and in private residential housing who are socially isolated. Volunteers visit once a fortnight for the purpose of social support and companionship only. CVS service Wagga, Tumut, Junee, Cootamundra, Harden, Coolamon, The Rock, Deniliquin, Leeton and Narrandera. FAMILY AND ADDICTION WORKSHOPS: Calvary Drug and Alcohol Centre are offering free support for people who are caring for people in addiction.
