The Acting Dean of Students at Charles Sturt University used Foundation Day activities to let students wax his legs to raise money for the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
“We are hoping to raise $10,000,” he said.
Mr Brann did his bit for the charity fundraiser on Wednesday, but others will be waxing for wishes on Friday.
Make-A-Wish Wagga volunteer branch is currently helping grant wishes to five children from the area. The organisation helps ill children and teenagers.
Dallas Tout from the branch was thrilled to have CSU involved.
“This is a grassroots organisation and it’s great to see CSU coming on board with the community,” he said.
By Thursday morning – well before the big Friday wax-off – CSU had raised almost $8000 of the $10,000 target and donations were continuing to roll in.
Four more CSU volunteers will be waxed on Friday at 4pm in CSU’s Crow Bar.
