Just after 2pm Gundagai Highway Patrol pulled over a Ford Falcon towing a poorly-secured Holden ute.
According to police, the trailer was close to half a tonne heavier than allowed, with the rear tyres of the Falcon rubbing inside the guards. The ute was secured with a few “ratchet straps” and the trailer’s brakes weren’t connected.
The driver was given a $1208 fine and nine demerit points.
