More than 100 students have been planning and rehearsing since the start of the year, and will dance, sing or demonstrate their production skills in this year’s event, which has been titled Dancing through Disney.
Teacher Kathryn Fisher, one of the event’s choreographers, said the students had been working very hard and were keen to demonstrate everything they have learned.
“They are very excited.” Ms Fisher said. “About 10 students had never been on stage before.”
“We have worked hard to build up dance at the school. I think students respect dance more now.”
The show will be stage in two acts, with 26 individual items in total.
While the second act will focus on Disney, with songs from classics including Aladdin, Mary Poppins, Zootopia, Beauty and the Beast and High School Musical to be performed, the first half will have a broad spectrum, from a jazz ensemble piece to a reimagined version of a fairy tale classic, with Cinder Ella.
