Six players from the Riverina Conservatorium will join opera stars, prima ballerinas and a pipe band performing in the An Afternoon at the Proms - A Musical Spectacular orchestra.
The star of the show, violinist Ian Cooper, said he was “delighted” to share the stage with world-class players living in Wagga.
“It’s fantastic to spread the good string word to regional centres across the country,” Mr Cooper said.
“I like to use local players when I travel because it’s good for sharing the love but also brings a sense of community, rather than a show rolling in from the big smoke.”
The performance will be held at Wagga’s Civic Theatre on June 24 at 2pm, with tickets available online or at the box office.
