Harrison Craig will perform at the Civic Theatre on June 30, as part of his third solo tour since hitting the big time in 2013.
Mr Craig said he was living proof that people with a stutter shouldn’t be afraid to follow their dreams.
“I started to perform when I was about five-years-old and found it was not only a passion but it was also therapeutic,” Mr Craig said.
“Singing was a great tool and resource for me.
“I was able to overcome my fear of talking which was really rewarding.”
Having recently released a children's book, Mr Craig said he aimed to inspire youth to “work hard” and “stay determined”.
“If I could give any advice I would tell people to chase their dreams no matter what hurdles lie in the way and no matter what people tell you,” Mr Craig said.
Having first performed in Wagga in 2013, Mr Craig said it had been “four years too long”.
“I had such a good time back then which is the whole reason I’ll be returning,” Mr Craig said.
“It’s a chance to bring everyone up to speed to what I’ve been up to.”
With just one day to explore the city, Mr Craig said he had plans to visit the National Art Glass Gallery and the Victory Memorial Gardens.
“Wagga is a very cool place and everyone is so lucky to live there,” Mr Craig said.
“It's been such a long time since I last visited so I just want to take the time to cruise on through and explore.”
Performing at large city venues in Melbourne to much smaller stages in Horsham as part of the tour, Mr Craig said he wanted to tell his story across the country.
“This is an interactive show which should involve every town,” Mr Craig said.
“It’s rewarding to have a show that’s yours and only yours, which allows you to travel and see the country at the same time.”
As the winner of the second series of The Voice which launched his career, Mr Craig said he never imagined he would be performing his own music to sold out audiences.
“You have to take everything with a grain of salt I think, as you never know what can happen,” Mr Craig said.
“My priority is just to strive to be the greatest I can be at all times – I only want to go further.”
Tickets for the Kings of Vegas tour can be purchased online or at the Civic Theatre box office.
