Wagga aviation pioneer, Don Kendell, has been appointed in the Queen’s Birthday Honours as a Member of the Order of Australia for services to aviation.
Julia Bennett celebrated her 100th birthday with a party at the Wagga Salvation Army centre.

Lloyd Turner, secretary of the Wagga Commerce Permanent Co-operative Building Society said the society will spend $100,000 redeveloping their property on the corner of Baylis and Thompson Streets.

Leagues Club vice-president, Jim Harmon, presented trophies at the Leagues Cricket Club presentation night including life membership certificates for Keith Ferguson and Neville Hoare.
Mrs Phoebe Price has arranged a mixed concert at the Haven to raise money for a piano in the Nan Roberts Community Centre.
Wagga architect, Steve O’Halloran, is taking office as Rotary International, first vice-president, the second highest office in Rotary.
Peter Martin and Bruce Higgins had a fantastic 11 up in the four ball, best ball event at the Wagga Country Club.
Miss Wagga 1967, Marion Hilton, currently staying in Cologne-Bonn in Germany describes her trip as “fantastic”.
