A four-piece band backs the lead singer exceptionally to tell his story, from his humble beginnings hitchhiking with only $10 in his pocket, and sing his greatest hits in DYLANesque – The Bob Dylan Story.
Lead singer Jeff Jenkins starts the show by narrating Dylan’s story to the audience.
Joined by Kim Farrell on lead guitar, Andy King on keyboard and congas, Jim Moody on drums and Mick Wenhuda on bass guitar and fiddle, Jenkins takes the audience on a nostalgic journey.
Jenkins sings all Dylan’s hits, including Blowin’ in the Wind, Tangled up in Blue, Rolling Stone, Hurricane and A Hard Rain’s Gonna Fall, with an uncanny likeness to the original.
The narrative details Dylan’s career, relationships, music of the 1960s and 1970s and his influences.
DYLANesque will be at the Wagga Civic Theatre on July 1 from 7.30pm.
Tickets are available through the theatre’s booking office on 6926 9688.
