Darren shot in F Class A Grade and placed first in the two-day lead up event and first in the three day Queens.
As a result he also won the grand aggregate.
Jacinta, who is just 14 years old, shot in F Class B Grade and placed second in the lead up, first in the Queens Prize and won the grand aggregate, leaving a lot of older shooters in her dust!
In fact, her score would have placed her in fifth position A Grade.
Jacinta has been a keen shooter ever since she got her Minors Permit and has obviously learnt a lot from her Dad.
Darren happens to be one of the countries best gunsmith’s which doesn’t hurt either.
The Queens Prize had 139 entries.
Eight ranges were shot over the three days - 300,500,600, 700, 600, 600, 800 and 800 metres.

Thanks to the range setters the layout proved to be evenly challenging for all.
The weather was perfect with only a light breeze every now and then tickling the targets in flight. W
ell done to Grahame Boyd for shooting 25 straight on his first visit but unfortunately wasn’t able to repeat that success on the remaining two visits but did end up taking out AA Grade.
The results for all grades on the day were:
- AA Grade: 1st: Grahame Boyd, 73, 2nd Rob Yeo, 72.
- A Grade: 1st: Alex Ceccato, 75, 2nd Michael Kruger-Davies, 73, 3rd Andrew Armstrong, 72.

See you all next month.
Ulysses
IT WAS a very nice day last Wednesday and the day saw four riders head for Culcairn for the first coffee of the day and then they went through Walbundrie and Howlong to Jindera for lunch.
After lunch Trev went on to Wodonga to sort out some business and the rest came back to Culcairn, across to Morven and to Mangoplah, where the stumbled across Trev again.
Then it was a short ride back home dodging the pot-holes.
Saturday Meet and Greet was well attended at Billy’s and the usual banter was tossed around over a nice cup of coffee and agreeable sunshine
Sunday was another beautiful day and a handful set off into the cool but sunny day down the Mangoplah Road turning left at the Burrandana turn off to Westby and then across the highway up to Rosewood for a morning snack at “Gone Barneys”.
From Rosewood the trio took the link road across to Wondalga and went up to Tumut for a “Pie in the Sky”. After lunch they made their way home through Adelong, Tumbalong and Wantabadgery
Our next branch meeting is next Tuesday in the Radio Club Rooms, 7 Small Street, starting at 7.30pm. Doors open at 7pm for fellowship.
Sadly we have to announce the passing of a long time Wagga branch member, Geoff Windsor, who passed away last week.
Geoff had been a long time member of the Ulysses Club with member number 585 and being an ex RAAF stalwart he became involved with the Temora Aviation Museum when it came into being.
On a more positive note Peter Meiklejohn is back home recuperating after his month or so in hospital and is on all sorts of magic formulas to bring him back to normal.
Our next branch ride will be on May 21 but by then the vast majority of members will be up at Port Macquarie getting ready for the week-long festivities of the 2017 AGM.
Get your bike serviced now and make sure that your tyres are in good condition. If you are going to the AGM it is not always possible to get a new tyre that will suit your bike at a moments notice. Ride safe.
LOCKHART BOWLS
A BIG weekend of bowls saw Lockhart Pennants Bowlers travel to Junee to play the elimination final against Wagga RSL.
Bruce Rayner beat John Swaffield 27 to 14 and Shane Lenon had a good win over A Christie 28 -20. Jason Healy ran away with a convincing win over R Hazel 26 to 12. This excellent result put Lockhart into the grand final.
Sunday saw the Lockhart boys line up against Yerong Creek – the form side all year.
With the scores level on six occasions Mark Driscoll drew away to beat Bruce Rayner 22 to 16. Shane Lenon’s team narrowly went down to Bob Stoll’s team 20 to 19.
Finally Jason Healy uncharacteristically had a battle on his hands going down to B Pettit 28 to 16.
Congratulations to Yerong Creek on winning the flag but the Lockhart boys did a fantastic job to make the grand final. Thanks to all the bowlers who played during the year.
President Barry Love also offered congratulations to Barbara Doherty who won the Lockhart Women’s Singles Championship against Betty Quee.
Colin Ryan was the marker on this occasion showing just another sign of co-operation between the men’s and women’s clubs in Lockhart.
Bowlers who have not played their second round Pairs Championships should try to complete this by this weekend.
Special thanks were expressed to Max Montgomery who was the bus driver over the year.
