Wagga’s Black Dog Ride passed through Tumbarumba and Gundagai yesterday, raising awareness of the issue and funds for Lifeline.
On average, eight Australians take their life every day.
“We need to spread the message that there’s always someone to talk to,” Black Dog Ride organiser Graham Falconer said.
“The ‘toughen up princess’ attitude is fading and the more we educate people the better.”
The Black Dog Ride began in 2009 and has raised more than $2,200,000 for mental health services nationwide.
