Kurrajong Waratah will now be known simply as Kurrajong and each arm of the service will carry a revised name. Kurrajong Early Intervention Service (KEIS) will become Kurrajong Therapy Plus, while Waratah Industries will become Kurrajong Timber.
The rebranding comes as service providers across the city prepare for the rollout of the National Disability Insurance Scheme.
Chief executive Steve Jaques said he was enthusiastic about the changes.
“Over the years Kurrajong has merged with a number of organisations to enhance its services capabilities and reach more families across the Riverina Murray regions,” he said.
“With these mergers came multiple names, however our new name is simply Kurrajong. This identity will extend across every business and service we offer, regardless of what that service is, or where it’s located.”
Kurrajong chairman Michael Kennedy said the service had built a great reputation throughout 60 years of service to the community that would be honoured and preserved.
“Our new identity shows respect for our past and the security we provide to people with disability and their families and at the same time presents a new, contemporary and more flexible brand for use across our diverse activities,” Mr Kennedy said.
I am delighted to introduce our new identity; it’s a new look for a new era at Kurrajong and for the people and communities we serve.”
The changes will be phased in gradually throughout the year.
