In Target rifle both Scott and Dave got caught on drop offs but had good centre counts.

LAST Wednesday a small contingent of five did the old favourite through Holbrook, Jingellic, Walwa. Tintaldra and Tooma. Hunger got the better of them so they propped at Tooma for a drink, a feed and a chat. Lunch over they headed up to Tumbarumba, refuelled and then aimed for the comforts of home.
Saturday saw a very good roll up at Billy’s for Meet and Greet in spite of the rolling black clouds hovering overhead. As it turned out the rolling black clouds didn’t spill their beans until later in the afternoon.
On Sunday five of us (Dean, Steve, Les, Ian and Pat) took another popular route and motored over to Gundagai through Wantabadgery and Nangus. From Gundagai we journeyed across to the Darbalara to Brungle road turning left at the junction and ending back at Coolac, and from there up the Humorous Highway to Jugiong. At Jugiong we stopped at the Long Track Pantry for a refreshing drink and I had a tomato sandwich for breakfast. For a dozen valid reasons I was a late starter and the others were gracious enough to wait for me, and as if being late wasn’t enough I then had to contend with a battery which didn’t want to respond at Maccas. However a nice friendly gentleman got me jump-started and away we went. Dean filled up at Jugiong fearing he may run short of the rocket fuel but the rest of us topped up at Murrumburrah where we decided that another drink was the order of the day along with something to eat. From Murrumburrah we returned home through Cootamundra, Bethungra and Junee clocking up 325 kilometres for the day. Another good day out in the balmy Autum weather.
Apart from the usual Wednesday rides our next Sunday ride will be on March 19 and the March branch meeting is on the following Tuesday (21st). At the March meeting the committee for 2017/18 will be selected, so if you want a job put your hand up. Meanwhile, fill your tank and enjoy the countryside in your leisure time.
