The annual event, attended by about 4000 people last year, will be held between 7am and 3pm on Saturday, February 25, at the Wagga Baptist Church on Tarcutta Street.
Organiser Janine Menzies said there would be 23 stalls – one more than last year – selling books, furniture, plants, clothing, toys, household items and all the other things that can be found at good garage sales.
“There will be something for everyone,” Mrs Menzies said.
“It’s all good quality second-hand donated goods.”
Proceeds from the sale will help the Wagga Interchurch Christian Education Team provide scripture material for schools.
“It’s very important for us to raise money this way, and it’s also a great community event,” Mrs Menzies said.
The garage sale, now its ninth year, will also feature a silent auction in which people will be able to bid on special items identified by the organisers, such as a painting or a high-quality sporting item.
Mrs Menzies said for those who purchased larger items but did not have a trailer to take them away, delivery could be arranged for a small fee.
People will be able to buy a cup of coffee, cakes, pancakes and barbecue food at the garage sale.
