Five-year-old Kobi McDonald was diagnosed with CTTP about 18 months ago and receives fortnightly plasma transfusions.
His body does not regenerate blood cells so the transfusions keep him functioning.
Kobi has had issues with his kidneys, been on dialysis and suffered a stroke as a result of his illness.
Those who hear Kobi’s story immediately want to help and dad Nigel McDonald said there is a gift everyone can easily give.
Kobi’s Klub has been set up for family, friends and the public to make a donation of blood or plasma on Kobi’s behalf.
"It costs nothing and takes only an hour,” Mr McDonald said.
“And you’re literally a life saver.
“Then you get all the milkshakes and biscuits you can stomach.”
Almost 130 lives have been saved as part of Kobi’s Klub, which is part of the Red25 program, and donations can be made at any centre in the country in his name.
Mr McDonald made his last donation at the Wagga Donor Centre before the family moves to Queensland next week.
Kobi went along to thank the staff at the centre and talk to those who were also donating blood or plasma about the importance of their gesture.
