Manager Stephen Payne was busy assisting to hang the works yesterday as the exhibit prepares for its official opening to the public tomorrow.
“Some of my favourite works range from the size of a postcard to huge canvases the size of a couple of dining room tables,” he said.
Subject matter ranges from celebrities, artists, politicians, scientists and entertainers and Mr Payne said the judges were right to name Louise Hearman’s portrait of Barry Humphries the winner.

The Archibald Prize 2016 will be in Wagga from December 3 until January 15.
