No, it is not the start of a terrible joke, it is the situation the Wagga Donor Centre was faced with yesterday.
But these were no ordinary nuns.
They were performers in the upcoming Paragon Players Theatre Company stage production of Nunsense 2: The Second Coming.
It is the follow-up performance of Nunsense from 2014 and Cassandra Nicholson is the only original member to return.
She reprises her role as Sister Mary Amnesia, a country singer who needs to be saved while the others try and impress an American Idol judge.
“There’s a lot of humour,” she said.
The cast and crew donated blood on Wednesday as a group and wore their costumes for a laugh and to promote the show.
Nunsense 2: The Second Coming opens at the Commercial Club from September 2 until September 11.
