Ulysses
What a disappointment Gerhard turns up at Billy’s last week and he is the only one with a bike. The rest of the crew there were only interested in tea and talk and the last anyone saw of Gerhard he was tucking in to one of Annette’s Big Boy Breakfasts in readiness for the journey back to Ladysmith.
What a terrific weekend weather wise, ideal for riding and although we didn’t have a ride scheduled quite a few took advantage of the sunny skies and ventured out. The meet and mreet at Billy’s was well attended on Saturday morning and the usual topics discussed at great length.
The monthly branch meeting was held last night with a reasonable attendance. The main topic of discussion was the venue for the Christmas party and we will let you know the result next week.
The next Wagga Branch ride is on August 21 and will be a ride out to Bribbaree for lunch. Rides coming up are the next get-together with MIA and Albury/Wodonga and this will be will be the Tri Branch weekend, in September, which will be held at Griffith on September 9-11. Sort out who you want to share camping with and make your booking at the Griffith Caravan Village on 02 6962 3785, tell them you are with Ulysses when you call. The next ride in September will be to Rutherglen on the 18th. There will be a ride on the 1st of October but the destination has yet to be decided and on the 16th it will be the Pink Ribbon ride. November 6th destination is Walwa and November 20 Talbingo. The Christmas function is set down for November 28 and the grand finale for the year will be the 2016 Toy Run on December 3.

This weekend was an 800 Yard shoot at Lockhart. The weather was fine and a very enjoyable day on the range. The preparation for our prize meeting was completed in the morning and all is in readiness. The range looks a picture although still damp it can be driven on. Except where John Owens went…. Which required a few of us to push him out!
Once again Ben Goodwin dominated with a top F Open score of 120.11. Chris and Phil both put in good scores as well. Jeremy topped Target Rifle with an excellent 99.11.
