The time of our monthly meeting has changed to the second Tuesday of the month from 7pm at the Boat Club.
On Saturday 14 gunners grappled with the unpredictable flight paths of damp clays.
Standout performance was Dillon McDonell who marked his 18th birthday with his first clay comp and broke 32 from the 50 offered.
As is often the case first spot went to Aiden Lynch with 42 down. He was followed by Josh O’Keefe (39) and Josh Duck (37).
Good to see Peter Sinclair (36) back after a long absence due to work commitments.
Sunday was a military range rifle event. Open sights and ageing eyes were not comfortable bedfellows, especially at 300 metres.
Brett Regan was best on the day with 176 from a possible 200.
The minor places went to Greg Blake (162) and Bruce Milne (156).
Sunday the 10th is centre fire field and lever action from 10am.

A grand total of two headed off on the mid-week ride last Wednesday, Smithy on two wheels and Terry astride his Can Am Spider.
They headed off to Griffith where they had lunch and then ventured home after an enjoyable day.
Meet and greet at Billy’s was well attended on Saturday morning in spite of the miserable weather.
Looking on the bright side we should see some warm sunshine again in about eight weeks, global warming willing.
On Sunday seven riders ventured out up to Cootamundra by way of Junee Reefs and then across to Coolac where they stopped in at the Coolac Markets by the Pub.
From there they went over to Brungle and back tracked to Gundagai where they had lunch at the Gundagai District Services Club.
After a most satisfying lunch it was back home through Wantabadgery.
It was good to see Max Donohoo, on his trusty BMW, back in the fold after a long spell.
The day’s ride was not all that long but was over interesting roads and all involved enjoyed the day out.
Apart from the Wednesday rides our next official ride will be on Sunday, July 17 and will journey to Tallangatta leaving McDonald’s car park, in Edward Street, at 9.30am.
The annual pilgrimage to Morundah Pub will be on August 7 where we will meet up with contingents from Albury/Wodonga and Griffith for a sumptuous lunch at the pub.
On Saturday evening our Christmas in July event will take place at the William Farrer Hotel.
An entertainer will be hosting the night themed on a tribute to the Beetles.
The Farrer require the money up front a week before the event so they can work out catering etc.
So if you could call in there by Monday July 11 and pay them the $48 per head everyone will be happy.
Our next branch meeting will be on Tuesday, July 19 in The Radio Club Rooms, in Small Street commencing at 7.30pm. Doors open at 7pm.
Don’t forget Meet and Greet at Billy’s Café each and every Saturday morning from 10am. See you when the sun shines.

June Shoot
Well guy here is this month’s shoot report a little late.
With a week of on and off rain the weekend for a dry shoot was not looking good.
Waking to a wet morning didn’t make going out to the range look a good idea but as time arrive to leave the weather appear to be looking up.
The range setter with a lot of discussion on lay out gave us an interesting and changing range, which again this month shows in the scores.

- Brad Wignall 63
- B Grade Gary Brill 64

- C Grade Mitch Woods 66
