Children eagerly drinking water straight from the tap take pride of position on top of one of the city’s highest peaks.
The images are aptly placed on the side of the water reservoir on Willans Hill.
They will soon be joined by more as mural artist Trina Collins finishes her project.
There are currently two completed faces but Ms Collins estimates she will paint up to six students from Sturt Public School.
Armed with 750 cans of spray paint and 20 litres of exterior paint, Ms Collins, or Poncho Army, has been working on the reservoir since Saturday and expects to finish by July 9.
The water-themed project is a joint venture between Wagga City Council and Riverina Water County Council.
