Sally Formosa’s simple request for pink shoes for her horse has turned into a social media frenzy.
Mr Wilms agreed to the request if Mrs Formosa got 5000 likes on her post on Facebook.
“He’s very blokey and doesn’t like gimmicks,” she said.
“I don’t even really like the colour pink.
“I just saw them and wanted them.”
She reached more than 8000 likes in less than 10 hours as the post reached people outside of the horsing community.
The public upped the ante by suggesting Mr Wilms horse the shoe wearing a pink tutu and wig, which he agreed to do if they raised money for charity.
Mrs Formosa said that Mr Wilms has now learned to never say no to a woman.
“It all started as a bet then people were mentioning that they wanted to see him in a tutu,” she said.
Mrs Formosa’s daughter, eight-year-old Josie, has a mild learning and speech disability so their chosen charity is Riding for the Disabled (RDA).
You can donate to Riding for the Disabled via www.gofundme.com/pinkhorseshoes.
The shoeing will happen on July 16 at 2pm at RDA.
