Creeks, dams, the river, country pools and even household baths all pose a great risk to our children.
Lifeguard Cameron McFarlane has performed cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) on numerous occasions, each time with a successful result.
He is spending seven weeks visiting more than 5000 year five and six students, including students at St Joseph’s Primary and North Wagga Public, to teach them vital skills.
“I really think it’s a good age to get them before they get to high school,” Mr McFarlane said.
“There is no doubt they are capable of saving a life.”
Mr McFarlane will visit Junee tomorrow.
