The campaign each year serves as a call to action and highlights the importance of hand hygiene in health care and within the wider community.
With the cold and flu season lurking ahead, Regional Imaging general manager Nic Carusella said there is no better time to spread the message.
“Across our clinic, appropriate hand hygiene is mandatory and performed both before and after every patient interaction,” he said.
“As Wagga’s largest and oldest provider of medical imaging services, we are proud to support this initiative.”
Hand hygiene using soap and water or alcohol-based hand rub can prevent the spread of the influenza virus in workplaces.
