It is a place that combines the services of the traditional barber shop and the modern salon while you enjoy a glass of scotch or wine.
Skateboard decks adorn the walls and a wooden palette acts as a display shelf for the Paper Street clothing brand the owners are developing.
The aesthetics of The Paper Street Social Club are as important as offering customers a high standard with a casual approach, according to the shop's owners Ben Malcolm and Tom Dyde.
Mr Malcolm and Mr Dyde have been hairdressers since 2003 and worked in Wagga salons for seven years before taking time to travel overseas.
Their return to Wagga saw their desire to create a full-service shop without the salon politics surface and The Paper Street Social Club was born.
"We wanted somewhere guys and gals were free to walk into," Mr Dyde said.
Mr Dyde said he took inspiration from a salon he worked at in Bristol, England.
"It was everything about hairdressing that I love," he said.
Mr Malcolm said the shop is constantly buzzing with people and the boys, who keep their equipment in tool chests, are surrounded by curious onlookers or customers craving something a bit fresh.
"People who sit down, their heads are constantly moving because there is so much to look at," Mr Malcolm said.
The Paper Street Social Club offers haircuts for men and full cuts and colours for women.
They are located at 4 Gurwood Street and can be contacted on 6931 9902 to make an appointment.
