MEETING IN WAGGA FOR PEOPLE AFFECTED BY ADOPTION: Anyone living in Wagga and surrounding areas affected by adoption is invited to attend an information session to find out more about searching for and reuniting with family. The meeting in Wagga on Monday August 11, 2014 is open to adopted people, parents and any other family members seeking advice about searching, as well as dealing with the emotional strains of adoption. The meeting will allow people to find out more information about PARC's services. PARC provides advice about how to search for family members, and acts as an intermediary service for reunions and counselling support. The Adoption Connections Meeting will be held in the Senior Citizens Centre at 204 Tarcutta Street from 6pm to 8.30pm. There is no cost and refreshments will be provided. THRIVE YOUNG PARENTS PROGRAM: Every Wednesday, between 11am to 11.30am and noon until 1pm, Centacare Southwest is running a young parents program. Held at the Wagga City Library on Baylis Street in Wagga, parents are asked to meet out the front ready for a short walk with their child in a pram. A lunch will be provided before a discussion will be held. Parents will have the opportunity to talk about the free services available to them and their child; how to entertain your child on a budget; healthy food and lifestyle choices; how to create a budget and manage money; how to discipline children; and how to perform CPR.
