 "Kiesha" back on the street

"Kiesha" back on the street

18 Aug, 2010 12:33 PM
A mannequin dressed in the clothes Sydney girl Kiesha Abrahams was reported to be wearing when she went missing has gone on display in a bid to spark someone's memory.

Police hope the likeness of the six-year-old will jog the memory of anyone who saw her before or after she disappeared on August 1.

They said the last time anyone outside her immediate family saw Kiesha was on July 24 - a week before her mother reported her missing.

Dressed in pink pyjamas patterned with dogs and bones and a purple jacket, along with a wig, the mannequin was displayed outside the Mount Druitt apartment where Kiesha went missing.

Seven kilometres down the road from the unit, police are continuing to search the Nurragingy Reserve at Doonside for the little girl.

Police divers have today joined the search of the 90-hectare reserve which is now in its third day.

Officers yesterday found a shovel hidden under a boardwalk in the reserve and will again focus on that area today.

"The information that's been coming in has been tremendous," Detective Inspector Russell Oxford said.

"We're looking at about day 17 I think now and we're not going to give up."

A woman's torso, believed to be that of missing mother Kristi McDougall, was found in the reserve last week. Police are also on the lookout for further body parts.
